Sparkle Family Fun Day
Saturday 14th August, John Frost Square
Saturday saw John Frost Square become a hub of good old fashioned family fun. In conjunction with Sparkle, the entire square was decked out with things to do and see for children of all ages.
Highlights included a traditional Punch & Judy show throughout the afternoon, football shoot out competitions and large games area as well as an array of traditional stalls including hook a duck and lucky dip barrel
Children could also get their face painted and could play around in the Ezeeplay family area.
The Sparkle Appeal is a local charity that is aiming to raise £1.5 million to equip a purpose built centre that will be a hub and spoke facility helping the 1200 children with complex disabilities in the South Gwent area to have treatment, care, information, leisure facilities and consultations all under one roof rather than having to travel to diverse centres across both South Wales and London. This will bring ease to the family unit and continuity of care to the children.
Family Saturdays throughout the Summer
The Kingsway Shopping Centre hosts free activities for youngsters including face painting, balloon modelling & craft workshops.
