Wardens provide Welcome Role in City Centre

Over the last couple of months, the wardens have been seen out and about in the more popular shopping areas providing assistance and advice to the public, shops and other businesses.

As well as being a friendly face the Community Safety Wardens have been working to address such matters as littering, inconsiderate parking and anti social behaviour.

With such a broad remit, these ‘eyes and ears’ of the city centre have been doing an excellent job and have been successful in working to ensure that that the City Centre is a pleasant place to visit.

The Community Safety Wardens work closely with all Newport City Council Departments, Gwent Police and other agencies to provide the best customer focused service to shoppers, workers and visitors to the city.
