| If you haven’t visited the city centre before you might be surprised at how easily accessible it is to get around. From popular chain store favourites to niche arcades, Newport has plenty to offer the keen shopper and many of the areas are pleasantly pedestrianised.
Over the next 2 years, these areas will be transformed; indeed shopping in the city will take a step further in a complete transformation of John Frost Square and a refurbishment of the Kingsway shopping Centre costing over £300million. (see city centre developments for information.)
From the switch on, taking place Sunday 18th November the Cambrian, Park Square and Capitol Multri storey car parks will all be free of charge evry Sunday to tie in with extra Sunday shopping hours at all major stores.
