The Garden Festival Clock that has been in John Frost Square since 1992 has been moved into storage to make way for the start of the new retail/mixed use scheme co-ordinated by Modus group.

The clock, which was commissioned to represent Newport at the Ebbw Vale Garden Festival is actually called, ‘In the Nick of Time’ and has always prompted mixed reaction from visitors. Whether you love it or hate it, the clock has always been a talking point.

Its future relocation wll be discussed in Spring 2008.

The D- Day Memorial which is also in John Frost Square is being proposed to move to a position outside the Old Post Office on the top of High Street. This has been discussed with veteran groups and will be moved later in the year.
