Kingsway Centre Update

The major £20 million refurbishment and extension of the existing Kingsway shopping centre is taking shape with both the erection of the steelwork frames that will create the extended shop units and the demolition of old units at the main entrance to the centre.

As part of the extension, Wilkinsons will take a new anchor store that is being developed, along with three large retail units fronting John Frost Square and two mall level cafes.

Meanwhile the interior of the shopping centre will be completely refurbished throughout, along with new entrances, new façade and a new glazed central square. The rear section of the mall is now near completion

Brand New Car Parking

A brand new 1,050 space multi-storey car park is being constructed on the site. This will have access from Kingsway and lead directly into the shopping centre and is due to be completed by Christmas 2008.

The refurbishment is due to be complete in January 2008.
