Drivers please be aware….from Wednesday 10 January, there will be no through-route for traffic along The Kingsway as part of the ongoing city centre regeneration.

The area in front of the Newport Centre will be closed to traffic as work begins to create a pedestrian link between the city centre and riverfront.

Traffic travelling from the Old Green Roundabout into the city centre will be redirected behind the Newport Centre along Usk Way and onto Granville Street.  Traffic travelling from the Cardiff Road direction will be redirected along Granville Street and back on to Usk Way.

All routes will be clearly signposted.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
